Govind Dev Ji Temple is one amongst the major tourist attractions of Jaipur. The Temple represents the royal past of Jaipur. The Temple is dedicated to Govind Dev Ji (Other name of Lord Krishna). Govind Devji Temple of Jaipur is situated in the City Palace complex, between the Chandra Mahal and Badal Mahal. Govind Dev Ji is the principal deity of Amber's Kachawaha Dynasty. In the earlier times, the idol of the lord used to reside in the temple of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.

According to a legend, Govind Dev Ji appeared in the dream of Raja Sawai Jai Singh and asked him to bring his idol from Vrindavan to Jaipur. As a consequence, Raja Sawai Jai Singh brought the idol and placed in the City Palace complex of Jaipur. After the sad demise of Jai Singh, many successors acquired the throne, but Raja Man Singh took the initiative to build the temple in 1890.

The beautiful image of Radha-Krishna doesn't let people to take off their eyes from the lovely view. Different 'Aartis' and 'Bhog' are offered to the deity at seven different times of the day. Every time, when the idols are revealed to the devotees, they are clothed in a different manner. The Devotees, who come here to get the glance or 'Darshan' of the deities, reverberates the temple with the pious phrase "Jai Govind".

A large number of tourists and devotees visit this temple of special importance. Janmashtmi, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is a special event and is celebrated with full enthusiasm. Birla Temple forms one of the major attractions of Jaipur. Birla Temple of Jaipur looks stunning, when it is brightly lit in the night. Birla Mandir, in pure white marble, dominates the skyline of southern part of Jaipur. The enormous temple was built during the year 1988, by Birla Group of Industries, one of the business tycoons of India. The Birla Mandir is situated just below the renowned Moti Dungri Fort. Built in a contemporary manner, Laxmi Narayan Mandir covers the vast lands of the city of Jaipur. The temple stands erect on a raised platform, at the footsteps of the Moti Dungri Hill. Birla Mandir is constructed in the finest quality of white marble. Day 01: Arrive Delhi by international flight
You will be given assistance on arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport and will be transferred to the Hotel. Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing

First visiting sight will be Jama Masjid in old Delhi- it is the biggest mosque in India, Red Fort, Rajghat (memorial of Mahatma Gandhi) all will be covered in Old Delhi trip. To wards the south of New Delhi lies Qutub Minar - the highest tower in India followed by a visit to Humayun's Tomb - the predecessor to Taj Mahal.

In the center of Delhi is situated India Gate - the war memorial built by British, take a halt in the gardens of India Gate and enjoy the scenic view of the place, at the same stretch lies the Rashtrapati Bhawan - one of the grandest presidential palaces in the world, parliament house. You can enjoy shopping in one of the busiest markets and through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chock Bazaars. In the evening there is much more in stores waiting for you, enjoy sound and light show at Red Fort that foretells you about some interesting episodes taken from the glorious history of the Mughal Regime. Day 02: Delhi-Mandawa
Next day morning drive to Mandawa, it will be beautiful 5 hour drive, check-in at the hotel. In afternoon you will be visiting the beautiful village of Shekhawati, here, you will be awestruck at the architectural splendor of the numerous havelis built in 18th and 19th century by the rich merchants as their residence.

Day 03: Mandawa-Bikaner
Morning drive to Bikaner you will be reaching the place in 4 hours, on arrival check-in at the hotel. Day 05: Bikaner-Jaisalmer

Day 06: Sightseeing of Jaisalmer City
The morning hours will be spent in a spectacular visit to the Jain temples inside the Sonar Quila, there is also a museum displaying a rich collection of robes and artifacts from the royal family of Jaisalmer. Afterwards, you are guided to the Patwaon ki haveli rich in its architectural splendor. The Gadisar Lake will offer you some memorable views. Later in the afternoon, you will be visiting the exciting Sam dunes, you can enjoy the camel ride on the sand dunes followed by a viewing a sun setting from sun set point. Day 07: Jaisalmer-Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur and imperial city located at the edge of the Thar Desert echoes with tales of antiquity in the depletion of the desert. You will be passing through the desert enchantments in way as you approach Jodhpur. A typical rural Rajasthan view, women in their colorful long skirts with men wearing different color turbens. On arrival in the city you will be then taken to Mandore gardens, the erstwhile capital of Marwar and Umaid Bhawan Palace, the present residence of the king of Jodhpur. Back to your hotel to retire for the night.

Day 08: Jodhpur-Kumbhalgarh
Early morning start for Kumbhalgarh and check-in at the hotel. You will visit to kumbhalgarh Fort- the fort is unique in it self due to its inaccessibility on top of the Aravalli range at 1100 meters, it was here that the rulers of Mewar retreated in times of danger. Pay a visit to the many temples, palaces, gardens and water-storage facilities inside the 12-km walls of this colossal fort. In evening drive to Ranakpur. Night stay at Ranakpur Tourist Resort.

Day 09: Ranakpur-Udaipur, 4 hours
The place is another great Jain pilgrimage center carved out of marble. The temples are quire famous for their intricate carving. The main shrine of Adinath, with its 1444 columns, wills certainly leave you wonder struck. Also see the sun temple and the other temples in the campus. Then we drive towards Udaipur and make a stopover at the fields to see the local way of farming and irrigation. By late evening you reach Udaipur and check in at your hotel.

Day 10: Udaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, you are guided to the marvelous City Palace, the palace premises includes the peacock square and visit the miniature painting school. Later in the evening pay a visit to the temples of Nagada and Eklingji. Night stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Udaipur-Kota, 285-km
Morning drive to Kotah. Kota lies along the banks of the Chambal River. The historical city of palaces and temples is surrounded by modern development such as the chemical and other industries due to the Chambal River Valley Project, an irrigation and power project. Pay a visit to The Rao Madho Singh Museum, Jagmandir: City Palace and Fort. The city palace and fort overlooks the Kota salvo and the Chambal River. Night stay at Kota.

Day 12: Kotah-Bundi-Ranthambhore, 200 km
Drive to Ranthambhore visiting en-route Bundi. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Bundi is the undiscovered splendor, 36 Km from Kota ruled by the Hada Chauhans. The place has a picturesque location and is rich with Rajput architecture shines and the intricately carved brackets, pillars etc. See the gorgeous Diwan-e- aam, Hati Pol, and Naubat Khana.

Day 13: Ranthambhore-Jaipur, 185 km/4 hours
By evening reach Ranthambhore Wildlife sanctuary, check in at the hotel in Sawai Madhopur. Morning get ready for the wildlife adventure in the great wilds of the park. Go for a jeep safari to view the wildlife (Sanctuary remains closed from Jul. to Sep.) and of course tigers in their natural habitat. Apart from tigers you will also see a number of other wild species like monkeys, langurs and alligators along with motley of birds. By evening you will be reaching Jaipur, check in the hotel.

Day 14: Jaipur whole day Sightseeing
In morning engrossed with a visit to the Amber fort accompanied by a thrilling elephant ride to the fort. The fort has many small palace complexes, a museum housing many royal objests. Shish Mahal, built in the 17th century in a fusion style of Hindu and Islamic art, will surely mesmerize you. Also see the hall of public audiences and Maharaja Man Singh's Palace. Day 15: Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast head for the Pink city to see the 18th century astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar and the exquisite City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Day 06: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

Rajasthan is located in the northwestern part of the subcontinent. It is bounded on the west and northwest by Pakistan, on the north and northeast by the states of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, on the east and southeast by the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, and on the southwest by the state of Gujarat. On average winter temperatures range from 8° to 28° C (46° to 82° F) and summer temperatures range from 25° to 46° C (77° to 115° F). Average rainfall also varies; the western deserts accumulate about 100 mm (about 4 in) annually, while the southeastern part of the state receives 650 mm (26 in) annually, most of which falls from July through September during the monsoon season.

Rajasthan has a single-chamber legislative assembly with 200 seats. The state sends 35 members to the Indian national parliament: 10 to the Rajya Sabha (Upper House) and 25 to the Lok Sabha (Lower House). Local government is based on 30 administrative districts.

Ranakpur - The Jain Temples
Location: Ranakpur in Rajasthan is one of the five most important pilgrimage sites of Jainism. Ranakpur is tucked away in a remote valley in the Aravali range in Pali district and boasts of one of the largest and most important Jain Temples in the country.

Tourist Destinations : The Ranakpur Jain Temple was built during the reign Rajput monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The basement is of 48,000 sq. feet area that covers the whole complex. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty-four pillared halls and domes supported by over four hundred columns. In the assembly hall, there are two big bells weighing 108 kg whose sound echoes in the entire complex. The main temple is a Chaumukh or a four-faced temple dedicated to Adinath. The three other Jain temples in the same complex, including a temple of the Sun God, are all worth a visit. A kilometer away from the temple complex is the temple of Amba Mata.

Jaipur - The Pink City

Savitri Temple

Varah Temple
One of the most sacred temples in Pushkar, Varah Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It has an image of Vishnu in the incarnation of wild boar. According to a legend, Lord Vishnu visited the earth in the incarnation of a Varah (Wild boar) to kill an atrocious demon Hirnayaksh.

Originally built in the 12th century, Varah Temple was, like many others, destroyed by the bigoted Emperor Aurangzeb (who , it is said , was particularly upset by the huge idol here of Varah, the god with the body of a man and the head of the boar.) Elephant Festival, Jaipur: The elephant festival gets underway in the month of Phalgun (March) on the eve of Holi, the festival of colours. The festival begins with a procession of elephants, camels, horses and folk dancers. The sight of mighty jumbos striding majestically is a treat to watch. The mahavats or owners proudly decorate their elephants with bright colours, jhools (saddle cloth) and heavy jewellery. Female elephants are made to wear payals or anklets which tinkle as they walk. Kaila Devi Fair : The annual fair of Kaila Devi, (Mahalakshmi or the goddess of wealth), is held at the village Kaila (24 kms to the south west) in Karauli district in the month of Chaitra (Mar-Apr), lasting for a fortnight. The temple of Kaila Devi is located on the banks of the Kalisil river in the hills of Trikut, 2 Kms. to the north-west of Kaila village. Another attraction is the small temple dedicated to Bhairon, situated in the courtyard and facing the shrine of Kaila Devi is a temple of Hanuman locally called 'Languriya'.

Gangaur Festival: The Gangaur festival is the most important local festival of Rajasthan and is observed throughout the state with great fervour and devotion by womenfolk who worship Gauri, the consort of lord Shiva. Gan is a synonym for Shiva and Gauri which stands for Gauri or Parvati who symbolizes saubhagya (Marital Bliss). Gauri is the embodiment of perfection and conjugal love which is why the unmarried women worship her for being blessed with good husbands, while married women do so for welfare, health and long life of their spouses and a happy married life.

The festival commences on the first day of Chaitra, the day following Holi and continues for 18 days. For a newly-wedded girl, it is binding to observe the full course of 18 days of the festival that succeeds her marriage. Even unmarried girls fast for the fully period of 18days and eat only one meal a day.

Images of Isar & Gauri are made of clay for the festival. In some families, permanent wooden images are painted afresh every year by reputed painters called Matherans on the eve of the festival. A distinct difference between the idols of Teej and Gangaur is that the idol will have a canopy during the Teej festival while the Gangaur idol would not a canopy.

The ladies decorate their hands and feet by drawing design with Mehendi (myrtle Paste). The figures drawn range from the sun, Moon and the stars to simple flowers or geometrical designs.

Teej Festival: Teej is the festival of swings. It marks the advent of the monsoon month of Sharvan (August). The monsoon rains fall on the parched land and the pleasing scent of the wet soil rises into the air. Swings are hung from trees and decorated with flowers. Young girls and women dressed in green clothes sing songs in celebration of the advent of the monsoon. This festival is dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, commemorating her union with Lord Shiva. Goddess Parvati is worshipped by seekers of conjugal bliss and happiness. An elaborate procession is taken out in Jaipur for two consecutive days on the festive occasion which is watched by people in large numbers. The Teej idol is covered with a canopy whereas the Gangaur idol is open.

Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar (Observatory): Jantar Mantar it is literally known as 'Instruments for measuring the harmony of the heavens. It was built between 1728 to 1734 by Jai Singh. Each instrument of this observatory is used for a particular function and gives an accurate reading. The differnt Yantras placed in clockwise at the observatory is narrated below. The Samrat Yantra is a large sundial (the triangular structure) marked with hours and minutes. The arc at the left side will show the time from sunrise to midday and the right side will show the time from midday to sunset. The time is read, where the shadow is sharpest. The sundials are constructed on latitude 270 North. To adjust the reading to Indian standard Time (IST), between 1 minute 15 seconds to 32 minutes must be added according to the time of year and solar position.

Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal built in 1799, by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh the 'Hawa Mahal', Palace of the Wind, is one of the major landmarks of Jaipur. It is an integral part of the City Palace, an extension of the Zenana (women's chambers) standing away from the main complex. This five storey building of unusual architecture designed by Lal Chand Usta, is a stunning example of Rajput artistry made of red and pink sand stone, beautifully outlined with white borders and motif's painted with quick lime. The monument with a spectacular view of Jaipur city with road avenues, intersections and colourful crowds in the market, was originally conceived with the aim of enabling ladies of the royal household to watch the everyday life and royal processions in the city without being seen by others.

Amer Fort
Amer is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it's ultimate expression.

Statue Circle

Late afternoon we arrive in Bharatpur.Today we stay in a haveli ( merchant’s mansions) located in the middle of village Pehrasar. Chandra Mahal Haveli is situated 30 kms from Bharatpur in a village originally called Lohagarh but later renamed Peharsar. Legend has it that it was captured in just three hours by Sultan Mahmud. The Haveli was built by rich Muslim nobles in the 1850s and its proximity to the Mughal Durbar is apparent in the architecture which reminds one of Fatehpur Sikri.

Special Feature: The Ghana Bird Sanctuary, Bharatpur is just 23 kms away. Visits to villages where carpet weavers can be seen at work can be organized. Folk music and dance, cultural shows, boating and jeep safaris can be arranged on request.

Day 6 - 7 : Samode ( 250 kms) & Jaipur
After a restful night and a leisurely breakfast, we head out for the village of Samode for two nights at the beautiful Samode Palace. The story of Samode Place goes back more than four and a half centuries.

Prithviraj Singhji of Amber, the seventeenth prince of the house of Kachhawaha Rajputs, had awarded Samode to one of his twelve sons-Gopal Singhji along with the hereditary title of Rawal Saheb. Nestled picturesquely amid rugged hills, Samode Palace with its stately grandeur and frescoed walls is a pleasant journey into the glorious past. The palace is full of architectural delights -the birds, animals and flowers painted on the walls of Sultan Mahal, the dining-room with its stained glass windows and its collection of old family portraits, the Durbar Hall with its painted ceilings and intricately carved walls and beautiful chandeliers, give this palace its old world charm. Each room is done up in traditional Rajasthani style and the antique furniture blends well with the atmosphere making it comfortable and luxurious at the same time.

Special Features: A traditional welcome with camel carts, buggies, elephants and local musicians is organized if desired. Camel safaris available.The following day we make an excursion to the nearby pink city Jaipur known for it’s colours and grand style of town planning. The highlight is the turban museum and cooking demonstrations. After a purposeful day we return to our palacial abode for the night.

Day 8 - 9: Nimaj
After a leisurely breakfast we drive to Nimaj 150 Kms. 4 hours. Late afternoon we arrive at Nimaj after having lunch at the midway Surrounded by lush green fields and vast grazing pastures. Chhatra Sagar, a hundred-year old reservoir with a periphery of about 10 kilometers, is an ideal destination for nature lovers and a perfect getaway from the chaotic city life.

As a hunting preserve of the Nimaj Estate, Chhatra Sagar has witnessed many exciting shikar camps and leisure parties. Today, the campsite, situated on the dam, offers breathtaking views of the sunraise, sunset and the Aravalli ranges on the horizon. The old shooting box - Aodhi has been put to good use as it provides a closer view of the water fowl and birds of prey.Watch the birds, go for nature walks, soak in the fresh air, sit around the bonfire and listen to old folk lore - or be more adventurous and take one of the many safaris on offer. The large spacious rooms are tastefully done up with carved furniture, delicate hand block prints, original paintings and momentous of a bygone era. The dining-hall has a large collection of antique hunting riffles, shields, spearheads, daggers, tiger skins and trophies giving a glimpse into the romantic past when the aristocrats took their hunting very seriously and often centered their lives around their interests.

Special Features: A visit to Rohet Garh can also mean an introduction to the life-style of a typical Rajasthani village. Visitors can visit and witness the traditional ceremonies of a Bishnoi village. Camping and encounters with blackbucks are usual features here.

Day 11: Devigarh

This day we take an excursion to Udaipur, a short drive. The morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur includes the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-ki-Bari, a pleasure garden built for the royal maids-of-honour.UDAIPUR is perhaps a unique pre-modern capital which hasno fort. Coming to life after the final sacking of Chittor, Udaipur saw an explosion of building activity- temples, palaces and Havelis. Lake Picchola with its two islands-Jagniwas (now the Lake Palace Hotel) and Jagmandir defines Udaipur. The City Palace towers over the lake. The artificial Jaisamand Lake was created in 17th century by damming the Gomti River. Day 03. Delhi - Agra
In the morning we visit "Kutab Minar" which is 71 meter high and consists of five stories. In 1199 work began on this tower which was intended to be the most glorious tower of victory in the world. This tower was damaged twice and repaired in 1326 and 1368.After the sightseeing of Delhi we drive to Agra. Arrival in Agra in the evening.

Day 04. Agra
We start today our sightseeing by a visit to the Agra Fort,built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. The construction of this massive structure began in 1565 under Akbar's reign and continued till the time of his grandson's reign, Shahjahan who built the impressive imperial quarters and mosque. After the visit of Agra fort, we proceed to visit the most beautiful monument of India, the Taj Mahal, an enduring monument to love, with a continually fulfilling beauty. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a tomb and memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Jewel of the Palace), who died at the age of 39 giving birth to her 14th child. We spend enough time at Taj Mahal to take this impressive memory home. After the visit of Taj Mahal we have a look at the famous fine marble inlay work which is still being done in Agra by the descendants of the families of builders and artists of the Taj Mahal.

Day 05. Agra - Bhandare
Today we leave Agra, drive through a series of fields, small towns and villages in direction of Bhandarej. Enroute we make a stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was once an imperial capital frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. This wonderful city constructed by red sand stones was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built. It has been generally stated that it was due to failing in the water supply. Late evening arrival at the palace Hotel of Bhandarej which has a blend of Mughal and Rajputana architecture. The Bhandarej palace has courtyards, arched windows, traditionally painted verandahs and front lawns. The nearby Bhangarh village with its temples and historical sites has a history which dates back to 11th century.Rest of the day at leisure. At the dinner time local dances will be performed in the palace.

Day 06. Bhandarej - Ranthambore
Today after the breakfast we leave for the world famous Ranthambore Nationalpark. after a break & refreshment at our hotel in Ranthambore we will explore the park on a Jeep. Ranthambore National Park is surrounded by the Vindhyas and the Aravali mountains and covers an area of 392 sq2. The Tiger remains the biggest attraction of the Ranthambore National Park.

Day 07. Ranthambore - Kota
In the early morning we again explore the park on jeeps. After the Jeep Safari and perhaps with the memories of our encounter with tiger we leave for Kota. The town of Kota was once the part of the erstwhile Rajput kingdom of Bundi. In Kota we will visit the city fort and palace, this type of fort-palace complex is one of the largest to be found in the state of Rajasthan.

Day 08. Kota - Bundi - Kota
Today we have an excursion to the fort city of Bundi. Bundi is most famous for its baoris (step wells) as there are many impressive ones. On the top of the hill is majestic Taragarh Fort of Bundi, the interesting fort is worth exploring for hours. The fort has many reservoirs, which are annually emptied flooding the streets leading down to the city.After the whole day excursion we return to Kota in the evening.

Day 09. Bundi - Chittorgarh
After an early breakfast we drive to Chittorgarh.The Fort of Chittorgarh is indomitable pride of Chittor,the fort is massive structure with many gateways built in 7th century A.D Perched on a height of 180m hill it sprawls over 700 acres.This fortified settlement has been ravaged thrice and each time the outcome was "Jauhar" When women and children immolated themselves on a huge funeral pyre while men donned in saffron robes of martyrdom rode out of the fort towards a certain death.Overnight stay in Chittorgarh.

Day 10. Chittorgarh - Udaipur
Today we drive to Udaipur. Udaipur is called the romantic city of Rajasthan. A city built around shimmering,clear,blue water lakes which reflect the green hills of the Aravali ranges.In the evening we enjoy a Boat ride on the lake Pichola.The famous Lake Palace of Udaipur was the summer residence of the former rulers.The James bond Film Octopussy was shot here and made this palace more known in the west.

Day 11. Udaipur
Today we visit Udaipur, also known as the city of sunrise.We start our sightseeing with the visit of Sahelion-Ki-Bari.This Garden of the Maids of Honour is well laid out with extensive lawns and shady walks.After the visit of Garden of Maids we visit a Museum of folk art.This museum has a rich collection of Folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments and paintings on display. After a break we proceed to city palace, the biggest Palace in India, where 4 generations of Maharajas added their contribution, is so carefully planned and integrated with the original buildings that it is difficult to believe that it was not conceived as a whole.The museum of the palace includes the beautiful peacock mosaic and miniature wall paintings of Indian mythology.Today we have an opportunity to visit a traditional painting school and see the famous miniature paintings done.

Day 12. Udaipur - Pushkar
Today we leave Udaipur and drive to Pushkar.Pushkar being one of the most religious places for Hindus has the atmosphere of an ancient religious town.The only temple of God Brahma is in Pushkar thus making Pushkar an important pilgrimage city for Hindus.Pushkar has become famous in the world due to its Pushkar Festival which takes place in the month of November when the whole of Pushkar is transformed into a spectacular fair ground where thousands of pilgrims come to bath in the holy water of Pushkar lake and the biggest cattle and camel markets take place here where Farmers,breeders and camel traders buy and sell.(if this tour takes place during the time of Pushkar Festival we spend 2 nights stay in Pushkar instead of one and therefore the duration of this Tour will be extended for one more day making it 17 days tour.)

Day 13. Pushkar - Jaipur
Today we leave the holy city of Pushkar and drive to the Pink City Jaipur,this city owes its name,foundations and careful planning to the great warrior and astronomer,Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II.Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and famous for its handicrafts and precious and semiprecious stones.After a break in Jaipur we visit the city palace in the afternoon which is still the formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.In the museum of the city palace we visit the private collection of the Jaipur Mahrajas.We continue to Jantar Mantar,a stone observatory,the largest of Jai Singh's five remarkable observatories.It's complex instruments reveals us the secrets of medieval Indian astronomy.

Day 14. Jaipur
After breakfast we drive to the ancient capital of Amber,laying 11 km. away from Jaipur. Amber was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries before it was moved to newly created Jaipur.We will ascend to the Palace Fortress on the back of an Elephant.Enroute to Amber we will visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds),built in 1799 AD, it contains 953 small casements with each having its own balcony.The windows enabled cool air to circulate and the ladies to watch processions below without being seen.In the afternoon we have a walk through the colorful Bazaar of Jaipur and visit a factory to see the famous block printing work being done since centuries in Jaipur.In the evening we drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit "Laxmi Narayan Mandir",a Hindu temple made out of white marble.We might have an opportunity here to observe a prayer ceremony. Today we have dinner with a presentation of Indian music and dance.

Day 15. Jaipur - Delhi
Late morning, after having our Breakfast we drive to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi in the afternoon.The rest of the day at leisure. (Opportunity for the last shopping or enjoy a massage in the Hotel)

Day 08: Jodhpur - Kumbhalgarh

After having breakfast in Jodhpur, you will leave for Kumbhalgarh. It is the second most important citadel in the Mewar region, after Chittorgarh. En-route, you will be visiting Ranakpur Jain temple. After arriving, you will check into the Kumbhalgarh fort, providing you with a commanding view of the surroundings. The atmosphere of the hotel will be perfect for spending the night.

Day 09: Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur

After breakfast, you will explore Kumbhalgarh Fort. The fort has many magnificent palaces and a number of temples. Later, you will drive down to Udaipur, also known as the Venice of the east. Day 10: Udaipur Sightseeing

Day 03: Jaipur
Today we take an excursion to Amber Fort, the palace complex that stands to this date was commence under the reign of Raja Man Singh. We take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience.
Later we visit the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. The center of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens & the city. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. Day 04: Jaipur - Jodhpur via Pushkar

Your village safari starts from Jodhpur. Visit the villages of Bishnois and Rabaris, known for their eco-friendly lifestyle that make them unique and look like an oasis in the Thar Desert. You can catch some good photographs of the changing colors of sand dunes in the setting sun and herds of antelopes and camels roaming freely through the villages. Driving up the sand dunes and coming down on high speed is an adventurous experience in itself. You can also visit the famous carpet weaving loom houses near the villages. Visit Fort Chanwa at Luni. It is built in red sandstone and has intricately carved latticework in ornate designs. Local metal, clay, and wooden crafts are worth seeing.

Day 06 : Pali/Sodawas/Kharda/Nardai/Kotri Raola
After breakfast in the morning, drive to villages in green Rajasthan such as Pali, Sodawas, Kharda, and Narlai. Relax a little at charming Narlai Heritage Hotel situated between Jodhpur and Udaipur. Explore caves and temples and then, visit the small fort palace Kotri Raola, situated on top of a hillock at Kotri.

Day 07 Ranakpur/Kumbalgarh/Udaipur
Drive to Udaipur in the morning, visiting Ranakpur, Kumbalgarha and Bhil Villages enroute. Ranakpur temples are 96 km from Udaipur. They are built in marble and rightly considered as the most complex and extensive of Jain temples in India. The fort of Kumbhalgarh situated atop Aravali Ranges has been impenetrable till now due to its inaccessibility. Also, visit the sanctuary and villages of Bhils nearby. Bhil tribe is native of the southern districts of Rajasthan and the surrounding regions of Udaipur and Chittaurgarh and is known for its skills in using bow and arrow. Day 01: New Delhi - Neemrana:

Day 02 : Neemrana:
The Neemrana Fort Palace is situated on a majestic plateau concealed in a horseshoe formation of the Aravalli ranges, considered the oldest fold mountains in the world. The beginnings of this rugged architectural jewel which rises to nine levels, date back to 1464 AD, making it India's oldest heritage resort. Conveniently located just off the Delhi Jaipur highway, Neemrana is Rajasthan's closest palace to India's capital.

Day 03 : Samode:
Samode according to the Rajputana Gazetteer of 1879 was a large and flourishing town. The Zamindars (landlords) of Samode the principal thakurs of the state of Amber were the Nathawat clan from Chomu, a branch of the house of Amber, tracing their relation to the Jaipur Maharaja the fabled Prithviraj Singhji the 17th prince of the house of Kacchwaha Rajputs. Gopal Singhji one of his 12 sons was awarded Samode, a noble feudatory of the Amber & Jaipur principality. It was among the wealthiest territories in the Amber kingdom. The Zamindari eventually passed within the clan to the hands of Behari Das, a Rajput warrior in Mughal Service. After 6 generations in the hands of his descendants Samode was relinquished to the Raj.
In 1757 the territory was returned to the Nathawats (the hereditary title of 'Rawal Saheb' still rests with the present family).
For the 1st half of it's existence Samode Palace was a little more than a fortified stronghold in the rugged Rajput tradition. Only in the early 19th century under Rawal Berisal did the castle begin to take on the lavish aspects it is now known for. He was an eminent statesman who reached distinction as the principal signatory (on behalf of the Jaipur Maharaja) of the historic 1818 treaty making Jaipur a protectorate of British East India Company. He later became Chief Minister of Jaipur and wielded absolute power.
Samode Palace quite clearly began expanding at the time of his reign and continued under his descendant Rawal Sheo Singh who was the Prime Minister of Jaipur state for several years during the middle of the 19th century. He is credited with the Palace's most fabulous addition - the extravagantly florid had painted Darbar Hall and the overlooking gallery which forms the breathtaking Sheesh Mahal or the hall of mirrors.
